Benjamin Pierce III

Benjamin Pierce III is a Senior Occupational Safety and Health/Fire Safety Specialist for the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR).

Mr. Pierce has a background in the fields of firefighting and inspections, hazardous materials technician, plans examiner, interrogation technique investigator, and occupational safety and health roles for the U.S. government and the private sectors. Prior to joining the OCWR, Mr. Pierce served in the military and worked for the Department of the Army, Department of State, and Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration as a compliance officer.

Mr. Pierce received a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Columbia Southern University and a master’s degree in organization leadership with a concentration in fire rescue executive leadership from Waldorf University. He participated in additional master’s level curriculum in advanced safety engineering and management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also received professional certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the U.S. military, and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
