Congressional Workplace Survey
for the 119th Congress

Legislative branch employees will soon receive an invitation and unique link to participate in the Congressional Workplace Survey (CWS) for the 119th Congress.

The OCWR is directed by the Congressional Accountability Act to conduct a secure online survey of the workplace environment in the legislative branch each Congress.

Your participation in the survey will help to ensure that legislative branch employees enjoy a workplace that is safe, accessible, and free from unlawful employment practices, including harassment and other forms of discrimination. Participation is voluntary, and all responses will be completely anonymous and confidential. This is an opportunity to share your assessment about the congressional workplace.

OCWR Training Opportunities

The Congressional Accountability Act – Webinar
May 29, 2026 and June 29, 2026

This training module identifies the workplace protections extended to employees of the legislative branch covered by the CAA and explains the OCWR’s role in administering the CAA. Additionally, this module explains the OCWR’s administrative dispute resolution procedures and the necessary deadlines for covered employees to file a claim alleging a violation of their rights. Attendees will apply their knowledge of the CAA’s protections and procedures through instructor-guided scenarios and questions.

Age Discrimination – Webinar
June 12, 2026

This training module introduces the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and discusses its history and application to the legislative branch. Additionally, this module explores types of workplace conduct that may constitute age-based harassment, a type of age discrimination. The module concludes with an explanation of the services and remedies available to covered employees who believe they were the subject of age discrimination.
