To electronically file a claim form with the OCWR, please download and complete the claim form available at https://www.ocwr.gov/wp-content/uploads/Claim-Form-2026-Remediated.pdf and send the completed form by email to OCWRefile@ocwr.gov. (You also may file the completed claim form with the OCWR Clerk’s office via mail, fax, or personal delivery.)
If you have not received an email confirming that the OCWR Clerk’s office has docketed your claim within two business days of electronic filing or filing by fax or personal delivery (or seven days if filing by mail), please contact the Clerk’s office. For such an inquiry, or to otherwise inquire about the status of any claim, you can contact the Clerk’s office via email at OCWRefile@ocwr.gov or by telephone at 202-897-7169.
What is SOCRATES?
The Secure Online Claims Reporting and Tracking E-filing System (SOCRATES) is a secure and confidential electronic system that allows you to submit a claim to the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR). Once you access SOCRATES, the system automatically helps you to create a document by guiding you through the steps concerning the allegations related to your claim. The system also will allow you to access the amended claim form, should you wish to amend your claim within 15 calendar days of filing the initial claim.
