Occupational Safety and Health Specialist Thomas H. Seymour is a registered professional safety and fire protection engineer with more than thirty years of experience with Federal Government regulatory agencies.
Mr. Seymour has held numerous senior management positions with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the U.S. Department of Labor including Deputy Director of the Directorate of Safety Standards Programs. Prior to using his talents to draft safety and health standards, regulations, and rules for the protection of U.S. workers, Mr. Seymour worked in private industry as an engineer and training instructor. He currently is an Associate Professor for the University of Maryland’s University College, where he teaches courses on environmental and emergency management preparedness and recovery.
Mr. Seymour has degrees in industrial management and fire protection engineering from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree in engineering administration from The George Washington University.
