Section 215(e) of the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA) requires the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (formerly Office of Compliance) to inspect legislative branch facilities – over 17 million square feet of property – for compliance with occupational safety and health standards (under Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)) at least once each Congress. The Office is then required to issue a report of the results to Congress.
