Board of Directors Chair Barbara Childs Wallace is “Of Counsel” in the Mississippi-based law firm of Wise Carter Child & Caraway and has over thirty years of experience in employment and labor law.
After earning her undergraduate degree from Purdue University, she received her law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master’s of Labor Law (LL.M.) with highest honors from The National Law Center of George Washington University. She clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
A member of the Mississippi Bar, she has presented and moderated numerous state and national employment law seminars.
Ms. Wallace was appointed in 1999 by the joint leadership of the United States Congress to serve on the Board of Directors of the Office of Compliance. She assumed the duties as its Chair in April 2017.
